Coaching Experience and Athletic Accomplishments
Lionel Garrett is Ohio’s ReboundDR Coach Garrett was an NBA Draft pick contracted by the San Diego Clippers, an International Player, and a Harlem Globetrotters Star. Coach Garrett has over 30 years of basketball coaching experience with the NCAA, CBA, WBA, ABA, and FIBA. He is also a NCAA record setting rebounder averaging 16 rbs per game.
Coach Garrett recently coached Al Ahli of the Saudi Arabia Premier League, ABA division champs Athens Razors and WBA Championships in Rome (Gladiators) and Mayas USA. Coach Garrett also spent time coaching in the CBA (Birmingham Bandits) and the LNBP (Mayas De Yucatan) in Mexico. A High School and College Hall of Famer, Coach Garrett has been named Coach of the Year and been awarded GM of the year honors twice. After being drafted and signed with the NBA San Diego Clippers, Lionel Garrett became the designated rebounder of the Hall of Fame Harlem Globetrotters. He continued his basketball career playing in Spain and the CBA.
